ABOUT
Kelley Holladay, PhD, LMHC, LPCC, MAC, NCC, CCC, QS.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Mexico, a Master's Addiction Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. I am certified to provide telehealth services. I further provide supervision services for counselors-in-training. On top of my clinical expertise, I am a current, full-time faculty member. My current research agenda explores mental health outcomes for victims of sexual violence, gender-based abuse, and cyber-sexual abuse. I have gained substantial clinical experience over the past decade working in the areas of trauma and addiction for individuals, families, and young adults.
I received my doctoral degree from the University of Central Florida; my dissertation topic was based on a quantitative investigation that explored the psychological experiences faced by victims of cyber-sexual assault. I remain active in the field through training our next generation, scholarly agenda, active involvement in counselor organizations, and clinical work.
At the heart of my identity is my role as a mother. Balancing the demands of parenthood with the rigors of academia, I find joy and inspiration in my family. My experiences as a mother have deepened my understanding of the complex dynamics within families, and this insight informs my approach to counseling.
I am dedicated counseling professional, proud mother, and enthusiastic faculty member. After earning my Master's degree in Counseling from Troy University and my Doctoral degree from the University of Central Florida, I embarked on a fulfilling career that seamlessly blends my roles as a mother, counselor, and a faculty member. My family was born in both Germany and the United States. I have lived in Florida, Michigan, and New Mexico; I have traveled nationally and internationally for conferences and speaking engagements. These experiences have been transformative, broadening my understanding of the human experience. Witnessing diverse cultures, hearing different narratives, and navigating unfamiliar territories have honed my cultural sensitivity and deepened my appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual's story, recognizing the impact of cultural context on their journey.
